Barry Heneghan portrait

Having spent my life living, studying and working in Dublin Bay North, I am deeply committed to representing the diverse and vibrant communities that make this area so special.

Background

I graduated from DCU with an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Engineering Masters in Sustainable Energy Systems. As a Gaeilgeoir and environmentalist, I worked with TG4 promoting the Irish language and led clean-ups across the area.

Movement for Mental Health

During lockdown I founded Movement for Mental Health and raised €15,000 for Pieta House — bringing community together around an issue too often left in the shadows.

Together for a Better Dublin

My vision is for Dublin to be a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. I believe in practical, progressive policies that address immediate needs and lay the groundwork for long-term prosperity. We need a fresh, independent voice — free from broken promises and party restrictions.
